    Sustainable tourism

You may share our concerns about the climate and the environment.

Rose Cottage is as environmentally friendly as we can make it and has held Gold, the highest award of the Green Tourism Business Scheme, for ten years.

    Wildlife

    Have fun spotting local wildlife

We actively encourage wildlife with feeding stations, hedgehog and insect houses as well as nest and bat boxes. The cottage holds wildlife information and plenty can be seen through the picture windows in the sun room. You may see bank voles, dippers, kingfishers and if you’re lucky, otters and polecats. Part of the organic garden is a wildflower area.

    Reviews from our guests

Why take our word for it…

Lovely cottage for a short break. Very peaceful and warm. Love the sunroom and the view across the valley. Also like the green ethos and all the bird feeders.

Magical. We have just stayed at the cottage, it is magical. From Woodpeckers at breakfast time to bats and Tawny Owls at bedtime...wonderful setting.

We can't think of a better view than the sun room anywhere else we have stayed- and the same lovely view when brushing your teeth!

How can we begin to describe the wonder of this beautiful cottage and countryside? Will be back as soon as we can.
